During my stay in Israel, I had the chance to visit Wadi Rum in Jordan, in my opinion one of the most beautiful places in the world. It is amazing to experience the absolute silence of the desert, the mysterious rock formations rising from the sandy valleys. You will ride on a camel together with your private guide. He will show you that the desert isn't dead, it's full of life. You will discover desert plants and desert animals, and you will be overwhelmed by the magic power of sand and rocks.

What is Wadi Rum?

Wadi Rum is a breath-taking valley in the sandy desert of Jordan, located 170 km south from Petra and 75km east from Aqaba. It became famous through the story of Lawrence of Arabia. The importance of Wadi Rum however, goes back as far as the time of the Nabatean and the Romans. Silk caravans passed on their way to Mecca, and turned it into a place of regional importance. Wadi Rum is considered to be one of the most spectacular desert areas in the world.
